As with any heat styling procedure, start with clean dry hair. The hair should be treated with a heat-protection product and dried fully before using any heated appliance on it. Separate the hair into sections and clip the sections out of the way securely. Take a section you intend to straighten and comb it smooth. Press the hair between the straightener plates starting at the roots and gently glide the straightener along the section till the ends. You may straighten the section 1-3 times until you are happy with the results. Repeat with the remaining sections.
